Zavodskoye
The village of Zavodskoye, founded in 1939, is the administrative centre of the Zavodskoy rural council (selsoviet) in Troitsky District, Altai Krai. Its name is connected to the former presence of timber harvesting enterprises, in particular a sleeper factory.

A historical photograph, village view, landscape, or related heritage object will be displayed here at a later date.
Historical background
The village's history begins in 1928–1929, when the first barracks and a sleeper factory were built on the site of the future settlement; workers and their families arrived, and Siblag prisoners were also sent to participate in construction. In 1932, a railway was laid to the village; in 1934, a school opened (Incomplete Secondary School No. 107 of the Tomsk Railway, becoming a secondary school from 1939). Until 1939, the village belonged to the Petrovsky rural council, then became independent. In 1947, all forests of Altai Krai were transferred to the Ministry of Forestry of the USSR; the Petrovsky forestry enterprise (leskhoz) was created on the basis of the Pesyansky and Kontoshinsky timber transport enterprises. In 1953, the Petrovsky timber enterprise (lespromkhoz) was founded at Kulichye and transferred to Zavodskoye in 1955; from 1 October 1957, it was renamed Altaisky. In 1961, the Petrovsky timber enterprise was created on the basis of the Pesyansky chemical forestry enterprise and the Petrovsky leskhoz, existing until the second half of the 1990s. In 1990–2000, an economic decline occurred. As of 1 April 2026, the population is 1,152. In 2022, a new school for 140 students was opened in Zavodskoye under the national project "Education." Notable figures include M. A. Bashilov, a war and labour veteran and rationalizer, awarded the Order of Lenin in 1958 and the title of Hero of Socialist Labour in 1979; and Yuri Alekseyevich Chernyshov (b. 1949), a worker whose poems were published in the district newspaper "Na zemle troitskoy" (On Troitsky Land) and in collective poetry anthologies of Troitsky District.
