Historical background
The village was founded in 1913; before that, the Sosninskaya Zaimka existed on this site — a settlement that arose in connection with the construction of the Novoaltaysk–Biysk railway. At a citizens' meeting held on the feast of the Holy Trinity in May 1914, it was decided to rename the Sosninskaya Zaimka to the village of Troitskoye; since then, the patronal feast of the village has been considered the day of the Holy Trinity. By 1917, the village had ten streets. In 1920, the village received 7,000 desyatinas of land from the forest fund of the Petrovsky forestry. In 1924, Troitskoye became the administrative centre of Bolshe-Rechensky District; on 16 April 1930, the district was renamed Troitsky. In 1929, two schools opened: a first-stage school of kolkhoz youth and a seven-year school. In 1946, the village was transformed into an urban-type settlement; on 30 May 1946, the Troitsky Rural Soviet was reorganized into a Settlement Soviet. In 1991, the urban-type settlement status was lost, and Troitskoye became a village again. In 1954, the kolkhoz "Pobeda" (Victory) was organized on the basis of small farms. On 2 January 2014, the solemn consecration of the new Orthodox Holy Trinity Church took place. As of 1 April 2026, the population is 387. The village's history mentions residents who received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union: Vera Kashcheeva, Nikolai Gavrillin, Vasily Ilyutin, Afanasy Savelyev, and Yakov Fefelov.

Living culture and memory
Residents observe national holidays of the Russian Federation and district celebrations. In 2024, the village celebrated the 100th anniversary of Troitsky District: a festive programme "I Love You, My Troitsky District" took place on the central square with delegations from all settlements, fairs, exhibitions, a field kitchen, and master classes. In February 2026, the XXXIX Winter Olympiad of Rural Athletes of Altai Krai "Troitskoye-2026" was held in Troitskoye, with competitions in cross-country skiing, polyathlon, fishing sports, football, hockey, and chess. The Day of the Holy Trinity is one of the most revered holidays: according to the old Slavic tradition, Semik (Green Svyatki) is celebrated on this day; girls decorate houses with birch branches, lead round dances around a decorated birch, and weave wreaths; at the "Trinity Round Dance" celebration, fried eggs, sweet buns, and kvass are served. In Troitsky District, traditions of folk crafts are preserved — clay toys, patchwork sewing, embroidery, lace-making; the "Workshop of Folk Crafts" operates, where children learn to model Troitsky clay toys. The folklore ensemble "Bolsherechye" (founded in 1991, directed by Svetlana Shlykova) conducts research on collecting and recording folklore and participates in krai and all-Russian festivals; among its achievements are a diploma from the International Festival-Competition "Russia–Germany: Dialogue of Cultures" (2004) and participation in the VII International Forum "Living Tradition" in Moscow (2012). The folklore ensemble "Vereteyka" (founded in 2012, directed by Inna Gross) studies folk calendar songs, customs, and rituals, and participates in zonal and krai competitions. The folk vocal ensemble "Troychane" and groups of the Troitsky Children's Art School also operate. The prevalent religious tradition is Orthodoxy; the gastronomic culture is represented by Russian cuisine.
