Historical background
The formation of the station in the early 20th century was linked to the construction of railway branch lines to serve the developing agricultural areas of the Altai Krai. During the Soviet period, the station functioned as an important transport hub for the transshipment of grain and livestock, and its residents traditionally worked on the railway. During the Great Patriotic War, many railway workers went to the front. In the 1950s–1970s, mechanization and modernization of transport took place here, and the station continues to perform its transport functions to this day.
