Historical background

The settlement was founded in the spring of 1911 by German settlers who bought abandoned buildings of Ukrainians from neighboring Pavlovka, received land allotments, and began digging dugouts. The state provided new residents with loans and tax benefits, thanks to which agriculture developed and schools opened in the initially Lutheran village. In 1931, the "Slavgorodsky" collective farm was organized here, and during the development of virgin lands in the 1950s, the production of agricultural raw materials increased. Trudarmeyets (labor army worker) G.G. Fleyman worked in the village, and a primary school operated here, liquidated in 2011 by merging with the school of the village of Selektsionnoye. As of 2026, the population is 112 people, while the village lacks some basic social facilities and faces problems with roads and electricity supply.
