Historical background
The village was founded in 1894 by immigrants from the Samara and Saratov provinces, who initially wintered in dugouts and built turf housing, and in 1907 settled in their current location. By 1911, a steam mill, an oil mill, and a school, the history of which began with teaching children in homes, were already operating here. In 1950, the collective farm named after Kirov was created, under the auspices of which social and cultural facilities (House of Culture, gym, museum, House of Rites) were actively built in the village in the 1960s–1980s, and in the 1990s a hospital, a butter and cheese factory, and a Lutheran church appeared.
