Historical background
The settlement emerged in the 1920s on lands won by peasants from the kulaks through the courts after the establishment of Soviet power. In the post-war years, the settlement of the left bank of the Chumysh River began, which became the new center of the village, where a House of Culture, a canteen, a boiler house, and two-story residential buildings were erected in the 1960s. School education traces its history back to 1903; in 1965, the Pobedinskaya, Step-Chumyshskaya, Manzhikhinskaya, Komsomolskaya, and Kirovskaya schools were merged into a new building, forming the secondary school that operates to this day.
Place, memory, heritage
Historical and cultural legacy
Material heritage is represented by the Pobedinskaya secondary school and the village House of Culture on Lenin Street. Located in the village is a monument to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, and in its vicinity, researchers have discovered the Manzhikha-5 ground burial site of the Andronovo culture and the ancient settlements of Kommunarsky Log 1, Shiroky Log 1–3, and Log Solonovka 2.
Natural surroundings
One and a half kilometers south of the village, in a ravine with a stream flowing into the Chumysh River, is a natural monument of local significance — the healing freshwater spring "Svyatoy klyuch" (Holy Spring), previously equipped with a gazebo and a descent to the water.
