Historical background
Founded in 1908 by settlers from Ukraine, the village consisted of 115 households by 1928, was part of the Pokrovsky rural council of the Slavgorod district of the Siberian Krai, and had 667 residents, predominantly Ukrainians. During the Civil War, local residents provided food to partisans fighting the armies of Kolchak and Ataman Annenkov, and also joined their detachments themselves. In Soviet times, a breeding state farm operated here, on the basis of which a cooperative was created in 1984 jointly with the village of Pokrovka. The local cemetery, containing about 300 graves, testifies to the long history of the settlement. A primary school operated in the settlement, registered in 2002 and liquidated in 2016. According to 2013 data, the population was 135 people.
