In 1928, the village comprised 323 households, with a predominantly Russian population; administratively, it was the centre of the Novoelovsky selsoviet in Bolshe-Rechensky District, Biysk Okrug, Siberian Krai. As of 1 April 2026, 394 people lived in the village, including 174 men and 220 women.
