Living culture and memory

Residents observe national holidays of the Russian Federation and district celebrations. On 20 November 2022, the district festival of folk art and crafts "Day of the Russian Valenok" was held in the village as part of the cultural events marathon "Kultpokhod" and the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia; the programme included master classes, exhibitions, folk games, and a concert programme featuring folklore ensembles. On 23 April 2026, the one-day forum "Vremya Pervykh!" (Time of the First!) team landed in Khayryuzovka with interactive platforms and a concert programme. In the past, the village held a gathering day (7 November) with a fair, and posidelki (evening gatherings) where girls spun and boys sang songs; for New Year and Christmas, pies, shanezhki, kalachi, baranki, kiseli, and kulagi were prepared. The patronal feast was considered to be Kazanskaya — the day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, celebrated widely: families prayed in church, visited relatives, and performed good deeds. In 2021, the Khayryuzovsky Rural Cultural and Leisure Centre celebrated the holiday "Kuzminki" — seeing off autumn and welcoming winter, with master classes, folk games, and treats of buckwheat porridge and pies. Local creative groups operate at the House of Culture. The prevalent religious tradition is Orthodoxy; the gastronomic culture is represented by Russian cuisine.

The project was carried out with a grant from the Russian Science Foundation No. 26-28-20225
