A historical photograph, village view, landscape, or related heritage object will be displayed here at a later date.
Historical background
Founded in 1909 by peasants from the central regions of Russia, the village had a predominantly Ukrainian population by 1928. In the pre-revolutionary period, the basis of the economy consisted of individual farms with windmills, and in 1913, the first steam mill was built. In 1925, the village became the administrative center of the newly formed Andreevsky district, and during the period of collectivization, tractors and the Engels collective farm appeared here. During the Great Patriotic War, all the men went to the front, including the entire graduating class of 1941, none of whom returned. In 1967, the infrastructure was supplemented with a water supply system from a deep-water well. According to 2013 data, 87 people lived in the village, which consists of a single Stepnaya Street.
